Domestic 1/4″ 6×37 Bright Wire Rope – EIPS IWRC

This USA-made 1/4″ bright wire rope is constructed from Extra Improved Plow Steel (EIPS) and features a 6×37 class design-offering superior flexibility and fatigue resistance for repetitive bending applications. Built with an Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC), this rope provides added stability and crush resistance under load, making it ideal for hoisting, winch lines, suspension setups, and other dynamic rigging tasks.

Colored strands may appear in some domestic wire ropes for manufacturer ID or visibility purposes; these color variations do not affect assembly break strength.

Flexible Steel Cable for Hoisting, Suspension & Dynamic Loads

The 6×37 class configuration enhances fatigue resistance and is more flexible than 6×19 alternatives, though it trades off a bit in abrasion resistance. The bright steel finish is uncoated but treated with a petroleum-based lubricant to reduce internal friction and provide basic moisture protection. This cable meets RR-W-410 and ASTM A1023 specifications and is a reliable choice for environments where flexibility and movement are required.

6×37 Wire Rope Configuration

Our wire rope is made using EIPS-grade cable. EIPS (Extra Improved Plow Steel) refers to the strength of the wire rope – its tensile strength is around 10% greater than an IPS grade, improving the break strength.

The class of this wire rope is 6×37. These numbers nominally refer to the construction of the wire rope – the number of outer strands around the core and an estimation of the number of wires within each of these outer strands. so for a 6×37 class, the number of outer strands is 6, and the number of wires making up each strand can range from 27-49. Does this wire rope come as one length? Yes, the quantity you add to the cart will be provided as one unbroken length of rope. So if you add this to the cart with a quantity of 1000, you will receive one 1000-foot long rope.

Can I order multiple separate lengths? Yes. For example, if you need two 1500-foot lengths of rope, you would set the quantity to 1500 and then add that to the cart twice. For each separate instance you add this to the cart, you will get a separate length of rope.
